Items are now available to commemorate the release of the first album "Love Is Glamorous / Life Is Gorgeous" by LIG (Sato Osamu + Gondo Tomohiko), a music unit consisting of Sato Osamu and Gondo Tomohiko!
The first letters of the disc titles of both discs of this double album spell out "LIG," which evokes a spirit of playfulness and connection, reminiscent of the English word "lig" - to "loosen up" or "connective tissue."
This is a standard-sized, easy-to-use bandana with an impressive design that incorporates the album artwork.
■ Sato Osamu
Born in Kyoto, his father and grandfather were both photographers. He spent his childhood surrounded by adults in the arts. He studied design and photographic engineering at two universities. He spent eight years as a student, splitting his time between two schools, taking a ronin exam, studying in the United States, and repeating a year. During his time as a student, he developed an interest in electronic music, creating a variety of experimental and ambient music using synthesizers and tape, and performing them at live shows. His music was also used as background music and theme songs for NHK programs. He also released cassette and silkscreen works on the independent label of EP-4's Kaoru Sato. His first exhibition, in 1991, featured a computer-generated work called "Alphabetical Orgasm," which garnered extensive press coverage both in Japan and abroad. He continued to release works consistently thereafter. He has also worked on numerous multimedia productions, including the PC game "Touno" (Eastern Mind) released by Sony Music and the US release "Eastern Mind." His music CD "EQUAL" was also released by Sony in Japan and Europe. He later released the PlayStation game "LSD/Dream Emulator" through Asmik Ace, which remains a cult classic to this day. Thirty years later, this work continues to be loved by fans worldwide. In recent years, his music albums "ALL THINGS MUST BE EQUAL," "OBJECTLESS," and "LSD REVAMPED" have been released on vinyl in Japan and overseas. Overseas releases include a full lineup of vinyl, CD, and cassette versions of "AMBIENT GROOVES" released by the prestigious European label Mental Groove Music Paradance. In recent years, his own label, Risou Onban (Linen Records), has released "GRATEFUL ALLTHINGS" and "TRANSFORMED COLLECTION" on CD, and two-disc vinyl sets of each on Disk Union. In the field of fine arts, in 2017 he exhibited his solo exhibition "ALL THINGS MUST BE EQUAL" (B GALLERY), in which he centralized all data, edited and remixed it on a computer, and presented a work that was a precursor to his current abstract photographic works. At the same time, he released a collection of works of the same name and a music album, "ALL THINGS MUST BE EQUAL."
