Osamu Sato / Artist

Born in Kyoto in 1960, lives in Tokyo. Both my father and grandfather are photographers. He spent his childhood in an environment where the adults around him were all involved in the arts, and during his student days he studied design and photographic engineering at two universities. He spent eight years as a student, attending two schools, becoming a ronin, traveling to the United States, and repeating a grade. During that time, in addition to his photography and design work, he became interested in electronic music, and using synthesizers and tapes, he created a variety of experimental and environmental music, which he presented at live performances. Music from that time was also used as the background music and theme song for NHK programs. Also released a cassette + silk screen work from EP-4 Kaoru Sato's independent label. At his first exhibition in 1991, he presented ``Alphabetical Orgasm'' using computer graphics, and was interviewed by many domestic and international press, and has continued to exhibit his work ever since. In addition, he has been involved in many works as a multimedia producer, and debuted with the PC game "East Brain" from Sony Music and the American title "EASTERN MIND" from Sony in the United States. Other music CDs such as ``EQUAL'' were released by Sony in Japan and Europe. After that, Asmik Ace released ``LSD/Dream Imulator'' for PlayStation, which is still famous as a cult classic. In recent years, the music albums "ALL THINGS MUST BE EQUAL," "OBJECTLESS," and "LSD REVAMPED" have been released not only in Japan but also overseas, and several overseas projects are underway this year as well.
