〈BEAMS T〉’s third overseas project! Art show held in London with artist MAW

We are pleased to announce the start of the third project from < BEAMS T >, which has successfully completed two overseas projects in the past. We will be holding an art show at MOOSEY ART in London with Tokyo-based artist MAW as our partner.

From the streets to the shop windows, MAW is an artist whose roots are in graffiti, and he is known for his unique art activities. The iconic character "MikeL" has expressed the humorous side of MAW in a variety of ways with his friendly and rich facial expressions.
``MOOSEY ART'', which is the setting for this time, started in Norwich in 2013. The gallery, where "FLEXX LEX" once worked, has been one of the first to introduce new artists from Japan and abroad, and has brought many artists to the forefront through its unique aesthetic sense and curation. . We have also collaborated with various artists to create artistic goods and objects that can be used in daily life.

This exhibition, made possible by the bridge between MAW, which has a relationship with both BEAMS T and FLEXX LEX, is planned under the theme of "CROOK," which has meanings such as "twirl," "twist," "dishonest," and "perverse." I am. Characters drawn by MAW originally have no outline, and due to their characteristics, they can change their facial expressions and targets at will. In this project, we will exhibit and sell works that soothe the soul by contrasting and mixing MikeL with something different, and by simply destroying existing expressions to evoke the word "CROOK". .

Furthermore, < BEAMS T >, which has incorporated numerous works into merchandise, will simultaneously release a capsule collection featuring MAW's artwork. Along with T-shirts and hoodies, the lineup includes blankets, pin badges, figurines, and more, as well as a limited edition of FLEXX LEX's iconic screen prints.
The art show brought to you by BEAMS T and MAW will be held at MOOSEY ART in London from September 28th (Thursday) to October 1st (Sunday). An opening party will be held from 17:30 on the 28th (Thursday) on the first day.
