MOONSTAR is a shoe manufacturer that began manufacturing tatami socks in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1873. With the development of jikatabi with rubber soles about 100 years ago, we have continued to make shoes for a long time in Kurume, which flourished as a town of rubber industry. The shoes produced at our own factory in Kurume are infused with the technology and experience we have cultivated over our long history.
To commemorate MOONSTAR 's 150th anniversary, we will be holding a pop-up shop for the brand at "BEAMS JAPAN" (Shinjuku). In conjunction with the 150th anniversary of MOONSTAR, which evolved from the development of jikatabi, we have released a Special order-made jikatabi-shaped sneaker.
