In 1976, we started producing OSAMU GOODS, original character goods based on MOTHER GOOSE. It becomes very popular among junior high and high school girls. Since then, the scope of his activities has expanded to include magazines and advertising. In 1997, he opened "PALLET CLUB SCHO OL" outside Tsukiji, where he was born and raised, to train illustrators. Currently, the exhibition ``Osamu Harada Exhibition ``Discovery of Cuteness'' is being held throughout Japan. His major publications include "OSAMU'S MOTHER GOOSE" (poetry: Chie Sakai/Koji Honpo Publishing Department), "New edition of my art book" (Misuzu Shobo), "My art notebook" (Aki Shobo), and the picture book "Kasa" ( Author: Masako Matsuno/Fukuinkan Shoten), `` OSAMU GOODS STYLE'' (Pie International), and others.

OSAMU GOODS

OSAMU GOODS was born in 1976. Characters drawn by illustrator Osamu Harada were turned into goods, manufactured and sold by Koji Honpo Co., Ltd. The words "PRODUCED BY DUSTY MILLER" can be found on products and packages from that time, but this was a group company of the Japanese cosmetics manufacturer "Koji Honpo Co., Ltd.", which produced designs and sold OSAMU GOODS About DUSTY MILLER. (Osamu Harada found it in a plant encyclopedia and named it in an attempt to give it an English name.) The characters created based on the old British song "Mother Goose" are JACK, JILL, DOG, CAT, BETTY, GEORGIE PORGIE, 12 types in total: HUMPTY DUMPTY, I SEE THE MOON, DANCE TO YOUR DADDY, LITTLE PIG, COW, OLD MOTHER GOOSE. Catchy motifs such as the ``HUMPTY DUMPTY'' egg, which is well known in Japan, have been released as goods with illustrations and designs by Osamu Harada. Osamu Harada designed all of the products released at that time, including the selection of items, materials, and shapes, and the number of products totaled over 4,000. The color scheme and stylish design reminiscent of Western-made miscellaneous goods became a hot topic, and it became a big hit among female students across Japan.
