A pop-up shop will be held at BEAMS JAPAN (Shinjuku) to commemorate the release of the first album by the music unit LIG (Sato Osamu + Gondo Tomohiko)!
2025.11.17

From November 21 (Fri.), a pop-up store will be held on the 4th floor of BEAMS JAPAN (Shinjuku) < TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS > to celebrate the release of the first album "Love Is Glamorous / Life Is Gorgeous" by the music unit "LIG (Osamu Sato + Gondo Tomohiko)" consisting of Osamu Sato and Gondo Tomohiko. The shop will be located in the same building as the LIG store.
This is a masterpiece that the two completed through file exchanges and intermittent recording.
The initials of both disc titles spell out "LIG," which embodies a spirit of playfulness and connection, similar to the English word "Lig"'s meaning of "loitering" or "connective tissue."
This pop-up shop will exhibit and sell artwork by Sato Osamu, as well as original goods such as bandanas and T-shirts produced by TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS.
Furthermore, on Saturday, November 22nd, we will be holding a talk show where you can listen to the album and participate in the event. Please come and join us!

LIG (Sato Osamu + Gondo Tomohiko)
LIG is a new unit formed by Sato Osamu, a multimedia artist known worldwide for his games "LSD" and "Touno," and Gondo Tomohiko, a brass player and composer known for supporting YMO and being a member of METAFIVE. Fusing electronic music with brass instruments, they create a sound that transcends contemporary music, jazz, folk music, and classical music. For each live performance, they change the lineup and performers, and present an "AUDIO VISUAL LIVE" that is perfectly synchronized with the video created by Sato.
Osamu Sato
Born in Kyoto, he is a multimedia artist who has gained international acclaim for works such as "LSD," "Touno," and "Chuten." He works across genres including music, video, graphics, and painting, and has exhibited his work both in Japan and abroad.

He is known for supporting artists such as YMO, Yukihiro Takahashi, METAFIVE, and the Hasunuma Philharmonic Orchestra, and in recent years has released numerous solo works centered around electronic music and wind instruments.
