Seoul, Korea music bar "Kompakt Record Bar®" to hold one-day pop-up shop in Harajuku, Tokyo

Kompakt Record Bar®, a music bar created by Jinmoo, a member of Korea's leading DJ crew 360sounds and a graphic designer, will be hosting a one-day pop-up shop in collaboration with BEAMS CULTUART at JOINT AROUND the CORNER in Harajuku on Saturday, December 6th.
This project was born out of a collaboration between BEAMS CULTUART, a project undertaken by BEAMS that encompasses the cultural fields of art, entertainment, design, and more, and Kompakt Record Bar®, which values the culture and community surrounding music.
The pop-up shop will feature a DJ set to recreate the atmosphere of Kompakt Record Bar®, and a resident crew from Korea will be visiting Japan. Special items include a sweatshirt from the Kompakt Record Bar® × Kei Tanaka × BEAMS CULTUART triple collaboration, featuring distinctive artwork by designer Kei Tanaka, also of BIAS DOGS, as well as a wide selection of original Kompakt Record Bar® items, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and tote bags, providing a special opportunity to enjoy fashion while listening to music.
During the opening, Jinmoo, founder of Kompakt Record Bar®, and three resident crew members Bigter and Isaac will be visiting Japan from Korea, allowing you to experience high-quality music just like in a local music bar.
A reception party will be held on Friday, December 5th at 7pm, the day before the pop-up shop opens, where you can get an early look at the store. DJ MAGARA will be the guest DJ to liven up the opening of the pop-up shop. Anyone can attend, and items will be available for pre-sale.

Kei Tanaka (BIAS DOGS)
Kei Tanaka, the designer behind BIAS DOGS, began his career as a club VJ in the late 1990s, and later worked on fashion show footage for brands such as DIOR, ISSEY MIYAKE, DKNY, and Nike. He also performed a video show with SKATE THING for the opening of the Apple Store Ginza in 2003. After working on music videos, movie openings, and commercials in the 2000s, he turned his attention to graphic design, providing artwork for numerous domestic and international brands. Since founding the design studio GATHERING INC in 2015, he has primarily worked as a graphic designer, and in recent years has been responsible for the artwork for Mild Bunch, a DJ crew led by Kunichi Nomura.

He is the co-founder of 360 SOUNDS in Seoul, Korea, and the founder and main graphic designer of "Kompakt Record Bar®." He has built the local Seoul DJ scene around KRB, and serves as a bridge connecting it closely with Tokyo's music bars and vinyl culture. Based on 90s hip hop, he aims to create a natural flow that moves between R&B, Soul, Funk, Disco, and House. He creates original atmospheres based on the philosophy of "Music First. Well Selected."

As the manager and DJ of Kompakt Record Bar®, Bigter is a central member in charge of managing the space and creating a musical atmosphere. Based on the brand's philosophy of "Music First. Well Selected," he completes KRB's sound identity through a stable yet sensible selection. He plays a wide range of genres, from Hip-Hop and R&B to Soul, Funk, and House, and is known for his well-balanced playing that naturally leads the atmosphere of the space. As manager and DJ, Bigter serves as the de facto central axis of KRB, connecting Seoul's local nightlife and DJ community in a more intricate way.

As the main resident DJ at Kompakt Record Bar®, he is a central member who creates a new mood for KRB with his sensitive music selection and solid taste. With a focus on Modern Funk, he naturally expands into Hip-Hop, Funk, and House, and is attracting attention as a representative of Seoul's new generation. Isaac is also skilled at keyboard playing and has released tracks as a Modern Funk producer. He is also actively involved in dance music and video projects, expanding his range of activities. In addition to his musical activities, he also works as a model, expanding his sensual visual and musical worlds at the same time.
