An experience tour to experience nature and traditional culture supervised by Kodomo BEAMS will be held from March 7th

A family-oriented experience program supervised by Kodomo BEAMS will be held in Yamanashi Prefecture for a limited time starting Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Minamiyamanashi is an area that combines the five southern towns of Yamanashi Prefecture (Ichikawamisato, Hayakawa, Minobu, Nanbu, and Fujikawa) with the city of Minami-Alps. This region, rich in nature and unique culture, will be the setting for two special programs overseen by Kodomo BEAMS, as well as a new food experience in Minamiyamanashi called "Yama-yaki," where you can savor the bounty of the mountains over an open flame.
Explore the authentic sounds of the forest with your family, experience traditional washi paper, and savor local mountain produce over a charcoal fire. Experience a new style of travel that allows you to experience the richness of southern Yamanashi with all five senses.

Family-friendly experience tour supervised by Kodomo BEAMS

This is a limited-time one-day experience program that allows you to experience the nature and traditional culture of southern Yamanashi. As a participation benefit, all participants will receive an original Kodomo BEAMS apron, which was created with the intention of becoming your child's "first apron." Apron sizes: 100cm - 140cm

①Papermaking experience (Minobu Town)

Nishijima Washi is a traditional craft with a history dating back hundreds of years. Under the guidance of a craftsman, you will slowly shake the fibers and make your own unique fan.

② Bird call making experience (Hayakawa Town)

This is a guided tour where participants carve wood, paint pictures, and create bird calls by combining colorful straps specially selected by Kodomo BEAMS, and then actually enter the forest to experience the sounds of birds and nature with their whole body.

Yamayaki: A new food experience originating from southern Yamanashi

"Yamayaki" is a new dining experience originating from southern Yamanashi, where mountain delicacies grown in Yamanashi's rich natural environment are grilled over charcoal with local seasonings. The main attraction is the thick, fleshy "log-grown shiitake mushrooms" that southern Yamanashi is proud of. Guests can also sample local ingredients, including local and wild vegetables such as Otsuka carrots and bamboo shoots, Yamanashi Prefecture's original brand fish "Fujinosuke," and wild game. Savor the natural flavor of the ingredients, accented with the traditional spicy seasoning "suridane" and local miso.
