2021年のアートショー「PLAYING CARDS」を皮切りに、〈ビームスT（BEAMS T）〉20周年企画、今年の4月に行われた第二弾のアートショー「EYEBEAM」、「GREENROOM FESTIVAL'22」でのコラボレーションTシャツなど、ここ数年で〈ビームスT〉とアーティスト・HIROTTONさんの距離は急接近。これまでも、あらゆるアーティストとものづくりをしてきた〈ビームスT〉においても、ここまで短い期間に何度も共作をした例は多くない。ではなぜ、幾度となくラブコールを送るのか。そして、彼の作品の魅力とは。HIROTTONさんと〈ビームスT〉バイヤーの佐藤に聞いた、濃密な関係。

Starting with the "PLAYING CARDS" art show in 2021, the "BEAMS T" 20th anniversary project, the second "EYEBEAM" art show in April of this year, and the collaboration T-shirts at the "GREENROOM FESTIVAL'22", BEAMS T and artist HIROTTON have grown close over the past few years. Even though BEAMS T has worked with artists of all kinds in the past, there have not been many instances of collaboration over such a short period of time. So, why did we call out to HIROTTON again and again? We asked HIROTTON and "BEAMS T" buyer Sato about their close relationship.

かわいらしいキーホルダーやステッカー、思わずニヤリとしてしまうTシャツを展開している〈来夢来人（らいむらいと）〉。〈トーキョー カルチャート by ビームス（TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS）〉でも大人気で、5月27日（金）〜6月16日（木）までポップアップストアが開催されました。そんな〈来夢来人〉を主宰するのは、天久聖一さん。漫画家ではあるものの、映像制作をしたりコラムを書いたり、〈来夢来人〉をつくったり…。その多岐にわたる活動をさらに深く知るために、旧知の仲である「スチャダラパー」のBoseさんを交えてお話を聞いてみました。

LIMELIGHT offers cute key chains, stickers, and T-shirts that make you grin. LIMELIGHT is also very popular at TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS, where a pop-up store was held from May 27 (Fri.) to June 16 (Thu.). Masakazu Amahisa presides over LIMELIGHT. Although he is a manga artist, he also produces videos, writes columns, creates LIMELIGHT, and so on. To learn more about his diverse activities, we sat down with him and his old friend Bose of Schadaraparr.

「AKB48」の中心メンバーとして、アイドル界の最前線で活躍し続けている柏木由紀さん。48グループ初の30代メンバーになった今、彼女の活動は新たなフェーズを迎えています。そのひとつが、音楽プロダクション「WACK」とのコラボプロジェクトです。この取り組みの一環として誕生したのは、柏木さん率いるアイドルグループ「SPY」。そんな「SPY」のデビューシングル『あなたを狙い撃ち♡』のCD特典として、〈マンガート ビームス〉は完全受注生産限定のコラボクッションを制作しました。そこで今回は、柏木さんのアイドルオタ時代の話、「SPY」のこと、さらには自身が目指すアイドルとしてのゴールについて、あれこれ話してもらいました。

Yuki Kashiwagi has been at the forefront of the idol world as a core member of AKB48, and now that she is the first member of the “48” groups to be in her 30s, she is entering a new phase in her career. One of which is a collaborative project with the music production company WACK. The idol group "SPY" led by Yuki was born as part of this initiative. As a CD bonus for SPY's debut single, "Anata wo Neraiuchi♡," MANGART BEAMS has produced a limited-edition, made-to-order collaboration cushion. We asked Yuki to talk about her idol geeky idol days, "SPY," and her own goals as an idol.

誰もが一度は口にしたことがある 「ミツカン」の『味ぽん』。〈ビームスT（BEAMS T）〉は、この国民的調味料とともに、当たり前すぎて見失いがちな“半径1mのしあわせ”にアートの力で光を当てる“味ぽんART PROJECT”を始動しました。今回登場するのは、アーティスティックなTシャツ。〈タコマフジレコード（TACOMA FUJI RECORDS）〉が考案した架空のストーリー『THE ART OF CSSS （Citrus Seasoned Soy Sauce） / 橙藝術』をもとに、名古屋で活動する3人のアーティストにデザインしてもらいました。名古屋に足繁く通う〈タコマフジレコード〉主宰の渡辺さんと一緒に参加アーティストのもとを訪ね、三者三様のデザインができるまでのストーリーをお届けします。

Everyone has had a taste of Mizkan’s "AJIPON" at least once. BEAMS T has launched the "AJIPON ART PROJECT" to shed light through the power of art on this nationally popular seasoning, as well as the "happiness within a meter radius" that we tend to lose sight of because it is so commonplace. This time, artistic T-shirts will be available. Based on the fictional story "THE ART OF CSSS (Citrus Seasoned Soy Sauce)" created by TACOMA FUJI RECORDS, three artists active in Nagoya were asked to design the T-shirts. We visited the participating artists together with Mr. Watanabe, the organizer of TACOMA FUJI RECORDS, who frequents Nagoya, and present the story of how the three artists' designs were created.

1994年に鎌倉で創業した「カフェ・ヴィヴモン・ディモンシュ（café vivement dimanche）」のポップアップショップが、4月29日（金･祝）から5月8日（日）の10日間、「ビームス レコーズ」で開催されます。カフェムーブメントの先駆けとなった同店の店主、堀内隆志さんは大のブラジル音楽好き。今回のポップアップショップでは、堀内さんが監修した新作7インチが先行販売されるほか、コラボアイテムの発売やコーヒー器具、堀内さんの私物レコードの販売など、盛りだくさんの内容です。この試みと、コーヒーと音楽のお話を聞きに、「ビームス レコーズ」ディレクターの廣瀬と一緒に堀内さんのもとを訪れました。

A pop-up shop of "café vivement dimanche," founded in Kamakura in 1994, will be held at BEAMS RECORDS for 10 days from April 29 (Fri., holiday) to May 8 (Sun.). Takashi Horiuchi, the owner of the cafe, which pioneered the café movement, is a big fan of Brazilian music. At this pop-up shop, a new 7 inch record supervised by Horiuchi will be sold in advance. In addition, other collaborative items, coffee equipment, and Horiuchi's personal records will be sold. We visited Horiuchi with Hirose, director of BEAMS RECORDS to hear about this event, coffee, and music.

マンガート ビームスが佐久間宣行Pと組んだワケ。

漫画やアニメを題材にしたTシャツレーベル〈マンガート ビームスT〉がスタートしたのが2008年。そこから14年の歳月が過ぎ、満を持してリスタートしたのが〈マンガート ビームス（以下マンガート）〉です。セカンドシーズンは、マンガやアニメのみならず、ゲーム、アイドル、テレビなどポップカルチャーを全方位的にフォーカスします。そして、リスタートを切るにあたり、ステートメントの制作を依頼したのがテレビプロデューサーの佐久間宣行さん。なぜ彼に白羽の矢が立ったのか、そして〈マンガート〉が目指す先は。佐久間さんと〈マンガート〉の担当者2人で送る、ポップカルチャー座談会。

MANGART BEAMS T, a T-shirt label based on manga and anime, was launched in 2008. Fourteen years have passed since then, and MANGART BEAMS (hereafter referred to as "MANGART") has now been relaunched. The second season will focus on all aspects of pop culture, including not only manga and anime, but also video games, idols, and television. And for the relaunch, we asked TV producer Nobuyuki Sakuma to create the statement. Why was he chosen and what is MANGART’S goal? Mr. Sakuma and two project members of MANGART will discuss pop culture in this roundtable discussion.

ファッション・カルチャー好きから日に日に注目度を増すアーティスト、SHINKNOWNSUKE。「ミンナノ」や「サプライ」、「ベンド トーキョー」といった東京でも指折りの個性派セレクトショップとのコラボレーションや、〈BoTT（ボット）〉や〈DIVINITIES（ディヴィニティーズ）〉などの気鋭ブランドへのグラフィック提供などで、その名をご存知の方も多いはず。そんな彼のソロエキシビジョン“Dots Per Inch”が、「ビームスT 原宿」にて開催中。未だ謎多きSHINKNOWNSUKEさんのバックボーンから、創作にかける思いについて話を聞きました。

SHINKNOWNSUKE is an artist who is gaining more and more attention from fashion and culture lovers. Many of you must know his name from his collaboration with some of Tokyo's most unique boutiques such as “MIN-NANO”, “SUPPLY”, and “bend Tokyo”, or his graphic work for up-and-coming brands such as “BoTT” and “Divinities”. His solo exhibition "Dots Per Inch" is currently being held at BEAMS T Harajuku. We interviewed the still mysterious SHINKNOWNSUKE about his background and his passion for creation.

写真家・山本佳代子が旭川で見つけた“満塁”の日々。

Photographer Kayoko Yamamoto found her "Full Base" days in Asahikawa.

2021年1月から3月にかけて、写真家・山本佳代子さんは北海道の旭川にいました。50日以上という月日をそこで過ごす中で、自身が見て感じたことを写真に残すためです。そうしてできた作品群が『満塁』。「B GALLERY」では、旭川で撮影された写真100点以上を3月21日（月）まで展示しています。今回は、そんな『満塁』の制作の裏話を聞いてきました。ちなみに、野球はまったく関係ありません。

Between January and March 2021, photographer Kayoko Yamamoto spent more than 50 days in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, to capture what she saw and felt during her stay there. The resulting work is "Full Base". The "B GALLERY" is exhibiting more than 100 photographs taken in Asahikawa until March 21 (Mon). In this interview, we asked her about the story behind the production of "Full Base". By the way, it has nothing to do with baseball at all.

AIAIAI(ai-ai-ai) is a Danish headphone manufacturer whose full lineup is sold by BEAMS RECORDS. The "TMA-2" series is particularly popular among professionals, as each part can be arranged in different combinations. We asked Mars89, who is known as one of the users of the series, to talk about his favorite customized product, as well as to try out the latest "TMA-2 Studio Wireless+" and "TMA-2 Move Wireless" to find out the appeal of the products once again.

世界中を魅了し続ける怪獣、ゴジラ。1954年に1作目が劇場公開されて以来、数々の名作が生まれてきました。なかでも熱狂的なファンが多いのが、シリーズ11作目の『ゴジラ対ヘドラ』です。2021年に公開50周年を迎えたことを記念して、＜トーキョー カルチャート by ビームス（TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS）＞では、ポップアップストアとコラボレーションアイテムを制作しました。アニバーサリーを祝うべく本イベントに参加してくれたのは、ロッキン・ジェリービーン（Rockin’Jelly Bean）さんと寺田克也さん。親交が深いからこそ繰り広げられた軽快なトークで、お二人にとっての『ゴジラ対ヘドラ』、今回の作品についてをお届けします。
