■ Design
These modern, vintage five-pocket denim pants are packed with BEAMS' signature attention to detail, from fabric development and sewing specifications to thread, fit, and product processing. Instead of regular washing, they're washed in mildly alkaline water like soapy water, resulting in a bluish color that resembles the original color after multiple washes.
The stitching thread is covered with cotton, just like denim pants, so that it will not fade with repeated wear.

■Details
These jeans feature a special BEAMS logo selvedge. Enjoy the change in texture that occurs with wear. The drawcord at the waist allows you to wear them without a belt.

■Size
Relaxed wide fit
This original wide silhouette from BEAMS recreates the tight waist of vintage pants while giving a relaxed feel with room in the hips like pleated pants.

■ Material
The texture of the fabric was recreated by disassembling and analyzing vintage denim from the 1940s. To recreate the neps caused by rough spinning techniques and the instability of the weave, leaf residue and other materials were deliberately blended into the warp threads. With wear, the fabric develops a dotted pattern and a worn feel reminiscent of the friction caused by the loom.
To recreate the color of the time, the fabric is rope dyed slightly lightly with 100% pure indigo to create a bluish hue.
This time, in order to get closer to the worn-in look of raw denim, the raw fabric is simply washed to stabilize the shrinkage and then sewn. This allows us to achieve the unique textured look that comes from the softness and stiffness of the fabric that is characteristic of selvedge denim.
