This large check scarf from BEAMS JAPAN is packed with the techniques of Bishu, a region that straddles Aichi and Gifu prefectures and is known as the mecca of woolen textiles, a place that Japan is proud of around the world. The large check pattern has a subdued tone and an elegant impression, making it a recommended item for winter gifts for both men and women.
■Material specifications
Different types of yarn are used for the warp and weft, with thin, soft worsted yarn being used for the warp to ensure a comfortable feel against the skin, and fluffy, voluminous woolen yarn being used for the weft, which is brushed to create a warm, lightweight fabric that is full of air.
■ Special order points
This was produced in collaboration with Bishu's Current, a revitalization group formed by young employees in the production area. The Bishu scarf comes with a special name tag and the Beams BEAMS JAPAN logo.
