■ Yasushi Hirokawa
Born in Zushi, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1950. He began working as a photographer in the 1970s, and has since been active in the fields of fashion and advertising. He has also produced numerous works with a sense of scale that explore the theme of eternal time, depicting the infinite expanse of the universe, the landscapes and nature of the Earth, and questioning the existence of the environment and humans. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in cities around the world, and has been invited to and appeared in art exhibitions. His collections include "sonomama sonomama," "STILL CRAZY," "TIME SCAPES - Infinite Melody," and "BABEL." He has received many awards, including the Kodansha Publishing Culture Award and the New York ADC Award. His works are included in the collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the National Library of France, Princeton University Art Museum, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, among others.
The purpose is to upcycle film photographs. We have dug up the photographs taken by many photographers with rich sensibilities and perspectives during the boom period of paper media (1950s to 1990s), and have created paper media that can be called objects by valuing their fragrant emotions. Masu.
