The design retains the signature details of BEATNIK, such as the center seam upper, shark sole, and adjustable Velcro strap, but also features the embroidered butterfly, which is also the NEEDLES icon, on the upper. Furthermore, the upper lining is made of real shearling for a luxurious finish. The black x purple coloring that is typical of NEEDLES is also a highlight. ``BEATNIK'', which was released as an outdoor sandal in 1993 and enjoyed explosive popularity in the Tokyo street scene in the 1990s, will be reissued in March of this year.
