Japan's first pop-up shop of the brand <WHR>, which features products that incorporate ideas into the details so that people can learn about and enjoy beach life.
2021.05.22

Pat Towersey, who grew up as a native Newport Beach local in California, started an experimental project in 2017, and Craig Stesik called it Western Hydrodynamic Research (WHR). After receiving the name, we officially started in 2020.
While focusing on creating functional and practical beach utility items, the brand is characterized by products that incorporate ideas into the details so that a variety of people can learn about and enjoy beach life. <WHR> will begin full-scale expansion in Japan this summer of 2021, starting with pop-up shops at “Pilgrim Surf+Supply” (Shibuya) and “Pilgrim Surf+Supply Kyoto”.
At the pop-up shop, you can see a wide variety of brand collections, and we will also be selling collaboration T-shirts made specifically for this initiative. The T-shirt design features the handwritten brand logo handwritten by designer Pat Towersey on the bag print, making it a special piece.
In addition, at the workshop held on the weekend, you can attach WHR's brand icons, eyelets and bungee cords, to purchased items or personal items you bring.
Please take a look at this special opportunity.
