BEAMS reinterprets New Balance's "Made in USA" sneaker heritage in its first apparel collaboration

BEAMS presents New Balance's first-ever apparel collaboration, showcasing its Made in USA heritage. Inspired by the iconic color palette of New Balance's top-of-the-line Made in USA series, this first-of Special order features all items made in the USA.

This collection focuses on two classic models, the 990 and 1300, that are essential to the history of New Balance. Each model's colorway and background have been unraveled, and the pieces have been reconstructed as apparel that embodies the same philosophy and craftsmanship as the sneakers. This apparel collaboration, which faithfully follows the heritage of the flagship models from their production background to their place of production, marks the first time the two brands have collaborated.

Beyond the simple concept of gray, the coloring that holds special meaning for fans has been incorporated into all four product models through expert color design. The dignified and classic Heritage Gray is extracted from the 990, which was born in 1982, while the noble blue-tinged Steel Blue is extracted from the 1300, which was released in 1985, to express the individuality of each model.

The materials used are heavyweight fabric and thick cotton, which are made in the USA and offer the toughness and texture that New Balance's sneakers have come to expect. The collection includes four styles: crew neck sweatshirts, zip-up hoodies, T-shirts, and sweatpants. The silhouettes are more relaxed than regular models, elevating the collection beyond sportswear to a balanced, modern fashion statement.
