Product description
Watch the chaos of Yokoyama's "work" over the past 20 years!
This is a collection of short stories that brings together works presented in various media and museum projects between 2000 and 2023. It contains 34 works with a wide range of purposes and content, including "Kyozo," a homage to Hokusai Manga, "New Bakabon," a homage to Akatsuka Fujio Manga, works created in conjunction with the exhibition "The World is Strange: Manga and Paintings by Tateishi Taigaa + Yokoyama Yuichi" at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, and original drawings for magazine media.

■Yuichi Yokoyama
Born in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1967. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Oil Painting, in 1990. His extremely unique style of expression, which subverts the concept of manga and elevates it to the realm of modern art, has earned him worldwide acclaim as a style known as ``neo-manga.'' Participated in various exhibitions, including participation in Paris, France, Le Lieu Unique's exhibition ``Magasia'' with Keiichi Tanaami, and a two-person exhibition with French artist Jochen erne. A large-scale exhibition was also held at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Geneva, Switzerland. He is also actively traveling around the world, holding exhibitions in China and Italy.

Point: A collection of short stories by Yuichi Yokoyama, a neo-manga artist active around the world, has arrived! I also bought it. Personally, I like the work "Mountaintop". At first glance, it is abstract, but the meaningful lines, onomatopoeia, and detailed descriptions really grab your heart.
