This T-shirt from BEAMS Japan reimagines Japanese masterpieces from a premium perspective. The design is inspired by "Hige Moji" (beard-like lettering), a symbol of Edo-period sign culture, and was specially commissioned from leading lettering expert Kohei Kamiboriuchi. This unique style, with its beard-like strokes at the ends of the characters, is considered extremely auspicious, symbolizing wishes for business prosperity and a constant stream of customers.
The powerful graphics stand out against the deep "sumikuro" (ink black) body, making it stand out even when worn alone. While embodying traditional Japanese aesthetics, it adds a sophisticated accent to street and casual outfits.

Hige moji is a uniquely Japanese character culture that expresses wishes such as "prosperity in business," "good health," and "prayer for attracting customers."
