Tailor Toyo, the original sukajan jacket, is run by Toyo Enterprises, a long-established Japanese apparel manufacturer. The brand has been making sukajan jackets since the 1940s, shortly after the war, and their authentic vintage sukajan jackets are highly popular as collector's items. This season, BEAMS BOY will be releasing a sukajan jacket made to Special order from Tailor Toyo.

The base of the jacket is a vintage sukajan made in the mid-1950s owned by Tailor Toyo. It features a reversible design with landscape patterns featuring maiko motifs on both sides. Special order-made sukajan expresses the Japanese seasons of "spring" and "winter" with gorgeous embroidery, allowing you to enjoy two different looks with just one jacket.

The "Spring" mask depicts a maiko standing by a bridge surrounded by blooming cherry blossoms, while the "Winter" mask depicts a maiko standing with an umbrella in the falling snow, depicted with horizontal embroidery. In contrast to the "Spring" mask, the maiko is wearing a long winter haori coat, and Mount Fuji, visible in the distance, is also covered in snow.
