<SMITH × BEAMS > Eyewear 'Sliders / BEAMS AB3', an updated version of a classic 90s design, is now available.

SMITH, a world-leading performance eyewear brand, has collaborated with BEAMS on Special order throughout its history. Now, Special order model commemorating the 50th anniversary of SMITH and BEAMS has been released.

The "Sliders," an archive model from SMITH that first appeared in the late 1990s, has been updated with modern materials and functionality. It has been revived as a commemorative model in a special color "BEAMS AB3." While inheriting the iconic design of the time, it has been reconstructed into a special pair of shoes that fuses the latest technology.

The color scheme features a color combination that symbolizes the identity of BEAMS. Based on a sharp black frame, vibrant clear orange is applied to the inner and under-rim. While maintaining a smart and urban impression, the orange that peeks out at unexpected moments creates a presence reminiscent of tech gear. This is a pair of glasses that perfectly balances the functional beauty derived from sports performance with the playful fashion sense that is characteristic of BEAMS.

Sliders" are equipped with an innovative lens exchange system that has changed the common wisdom of sunglasses. The main lens is a special ChromaPop* dimming lens, which has not been regular deployed before, and delivers clear and vivid vision in response to changing scenes and weather conditions.

Furthermore, the sub-lenses are a special assortment of lenses selected by BEAMS from SMITH's signature ChromaPop lens series, chosen for their compatibility with the frame color and ease of use in various weather conditions and situations. This creates a unique lens combination only Special order. In addition, it comes with nose pads designed to fit Japanese facial features and a special case created specifically for this model. The result is a specification that combines high functionality and practicality with a special feel commemorating the 50th anniversary.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary, SMITH and BEAMS have collaborated to create a special eyewear collection. With three types of lenses, these glasses can be worn in a variety of settings, from city streets to the outdoors and sports, and combine a bold 90s-inspired design with modern functionality.
